The Organic Foods Production Act of 1990 was established because there was a lot of confusion about the definition. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Organic means food with no artificial fertilizers, genetic modification, irradiation or conventional pesticides. These days, the term “organic” is not only applied to fruits and vegetables, but also to beef, chicken, milk, eggs, grains….and, yes, even to candy.

Organic brown rice syrup is minimally processed and not highly refined as tapioca syrup is…tapioca syrup is really no different than corn syrup. This is CLEAN candy, containing no trans fats, no preservatives, no corn syrup, no FD&C colors and no hydrogenated oils. The line has a 2 year shelf life, is gluten free and Kosher.
